Barcelona, Atletico, Napoli... they were some of the clubs that entered into this summer's fight for Giovanni Simeone. However, the striker has continued with Fiorentina, where he is contracted until June 2022.
Since his arrival last season, Diego Simeone's son has become a starter for the 'viola' side. Last season, he scored 14 goals. This season, he already has two more, as well as an assist. In addition, at just 23 years of age, he has already been called up to the Argentina squad.
But Giovanni Simeone has a desire that goes further than his ability in front of goal. The striker told 'DANZ' that he would love to be trained by his father.
"I hope he can become my coach one day," the player revealed. This, though, did not reveal if he had plans to play under his father at Atletico.
"Perhaps he will be Argentina manager in the future. Why not? We all like him. In my family, we all work to achieve the best, nothing is impossible", he concluded.
