McGregor returned for a second spell at Rangers, following his transfer back to the Scottish Premier League side from Championship side Hull City this summer, and has so far been very impressed with the managerial abilities of Steven Gerrard.
The Scottish international has also given his backing to boss Gerrard, who he believes will one day manage a top side in the English Premier League. McGregor told 'Sky Sports': "As a person and as a manager, he's really good and it wouldn't surprise me one day if he gets - and I am not saying Rangers isn't a big job, it's a massive job - a top Premiership club. The club he's been at all his life [Liverpool] is a massive club as well, and there are a lot of similarities [with Rangers]."
Rangers have so far thrived underneath the stewardship of Gerrard; they sit sixth, just five points off league leaders Hearts, while sitting top of a competitive group in the Europa League.
However 'Gers' goalkeeper McGregor refused to be drawn on his side's title chances this campaign, saying: "I very rarely talk about that. You want to be as consistent as possible and then things might happen at the end of the season, they might not."
