For the hundreth edition for the World Cup, four neighbouring South American countries have put forward a joint bid for the 2030 edition: Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Chile.
If the bid of these four South American countries is accepted by FIFA, it would be a pleasant nod to them, as the first World Cup was in Uruguay in 1930.
But their competition will be tough. Spain, Portugal and Ukraine are going for it in a joint bid too, just like the trio of Saudi Arabia, Greece and Egypt. Morocco are also there with the only "individual bid".
