The two young 'Lions' stars reportedly turned up to training late during the week, and were reprimanded by being left on the bench for the Elite Qualifying Round.
Foden and Sancho were both unused substitutes in the match, which came as a shock for England fans given that both players are regarded as two of the country's greatest emerging talents.
17-year-old Phil Foden has been training under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, and represented England at U17 level in the World Cup last year.
Meanwhile, his fellow tardy team-mate left City to join Borussia Dortmund. Sancho has made appearances for England at U16, U17 and U19 level.
Thankfully the team still came out on top against Latvia, winning 3-0 thanks to goals from Chelsea's Mason Mount, Arsenal's Eddie Nketiah and Sheffield Wednesday's George Hirst.
