The 19-year-old made his debut against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup last week before coming off the bench in the defeat to Leicester in the Premier League on Sunday but in an interview with 'BBC Sport', Baningime, who is eligible for both England and the Democratic Republic of Congo, says that he hasn't thoguht too much about his internaitonal future at this stage.
"I haven't thought about that yet really," he explained.
"My dad and I will have to speak about it. We're focussing on the club first."
"Hopefully when we start winning - I need to get that bit done - then I will have to think about where I am going to go."
The youngster was born in the Congolese capital of Kinshasa but could yet opt for his adopted homeland.
The appointement of David Unsworth as caretaker manager has done wonders for Baningime, who had yet to catch the eye of former boss Ronald Koeman.
"It's just great that David Unsworth has given me the opportunity to play," the oyungster explained.
"He said 'just do what you normally do with the ball' and that gave me confidence. It was great. I would have wanted to win the game but that didn't happen."
