Ronald Koeman has a big hole to fill in his Everton side, after £30m summer signing Yannick Bolasie was ruled out with an anterior cruciate ligament injury which he suffered in the 1-1 draw with Manchester United.
The Everton boss will therefore attempt to sign the Manchester United winger on a loan deal in January, with the Dutchman struggling for first team football at United.
Koeman has previously expressed his desire to bring Depay to Goodison Park and this is likely to have increased after Bolasie was ruled out for the remainder of the campaign,
After much anticipation, Depay has struggled at Old Trafford since his big-money move from PSV and has scored just seven goals in 56 games in all competitions.
Depay has also failed to start a Premier League game this season, making just four substitute appearances, amassing to just 20 minutes of football.
