The arrival of new manager Manuel Pellegrini to West Ham has plunged the future of Reece Oxford into major doubt, as the player seems to not form part of the Chilean's plans moving forward.
20 year old Oxford is therefore said to be seeking a permanent exit from the London club, as he feels that at this stage in his development, another loan spell would not be beneficial.
Oxford graduated through the ranks at West Ham, but after his manager suggested a move away could benefit him, he has taken the decision to search for an indefinite exit.
The news of his imminent availability is set to cause a major scramble for his signature, with Merseyside club Everton, the latest to add their name to the list of admirers.
The central defender has also recently been courted by Premier League champions Manchester City, as well as German side Borussia Monchengladbach, with whom he enjoyed a series of loan spells in recent years.
In addition, his homegrown player status is sure to make him an even more attractive proposition for clubs in the market for defensive reinforcements.
Everton are thought to be eyeing a move for the player as soon as January, with his lack of recent senior action seemingly not a problem, as they look to help him forge a big future in the English top flight.
