Juventus striker Angel Di Maria will continue playing for the 'Albiceleste' and will not announce his retirement after the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Journalist Gaston Edul, who follows the Argentine national team on 'TyC Sports', reported on his YouTube channel that the former Real Madrid player "is going to continue playing, at least for a few more games".
"He has not defined until when, but is eager to continue," Edul said. Di Maria has just won his third consecutive title with Argentina.
The Argentine player dedicated an emotional message on his Instagram to his parents: "Their happiness is my happiness. How nice to see them cry with joy. So much suffering and in the end we were rewarded," he wrote.
Argentina won the third star after beating France in a final that was decided in a penalty shoot-out (4-2) following a 3-3 draw after 120 minutes of play.
