The Dutchman is out of contract at the end of the season and has so far rejected all attempts to tie him down to a new deal.
His contract status means that he can agree a pre-contract with a foreign side now, with Manchester United and Barcelona among the sides to have been linked with the defender.
However, it appears that De Vrij is set to remain in Italy, with 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' reporting that he will join Inter Milan this summer, having already verbally committed to joining the 'Nerazzurri'
The 26-year-old must wait until the end of his contract on June 30th to complete the move but it is claimed he will then sign a five-year deal worth around £70,000 per week.
