Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund did not rule out a renewal of Canadian full-back Alphonso Davies, who is being targeted by Real Madrid, and said there are talks with the player's representatives.
"There are talks that are developing well and are very open. We will see what comes out of them in the next few weeks. A contract renewal is not unlikely," Freund said.
According to 'Sky', there will be concrete negotiations in the coming days. Between the two parties, there are differences over the salary and, while Davies is asking for 20 million euros a year, Bayern are offering between 11 and 13.
The 23-year-old is happy in Munich and at Bayern. "I have no negative feelings at all," said Freund. Davies has a contract with Bayern until 2025, so if he renews, and the German club does not want to let him go for free, there would have to be a sale at the end of this season.
