French defender Gaël Clichy has a team to continue his career in at the age of 35. After his time at Istanbul Basaksehir, the former French international will continue his career in Switzerland.
Clichy had already been on trial for a few days with Servette and the team, in which his former team-mate Philippe Senderos makes the sporting decisions, has decided to incorporate him.
In spite of having to pass a test for his transfer, Servette has offered him a contract for the rest of the season and the next. That is, until 2022.
Both Senderos and Clichy arrived at Arsenal in 2003 and their careers followed diametrically opposed paths. While one was just starting out, the other ended up being a major player at Manchester City.
Before joining Servette, Clichy played three seasons in Turkey at the thriving Istanbul Basaksehir, where he accumulated 113 games, three goals and 13 assists.
