It has been over two months since the last Champions League matches, but even though it has been a long wait, it is back this Tuesday.
One of the more interesting Champions League last 16 ties is at the Wanda Metropolitano. Cholo Simeone's Atletico Madrid face the defending champions Liverpool.
The first leg of this tie will be played on Tuesday at 9pm CET in Spain and the home side will go into the match depleted by injuries.
Kieran Trippier will miss the game as he will be sidelined until March. Joao Felix also misses the encounter while Hector Herrera and Diego Costa could make the squad. Barring a surprise, the Spanish-Brazilian striker will make the squad although Alvaro Morata will be the main man in attack.
Klopp will be without Nathaniel Clyne and Yasser Larouci while Xherdan Shaqiri could make the Liverpool side.
Possible Atletico Madrid XI:
Oblak; Arias, Felipe, Savic, Saúl; Koke, Thomas, Marcos Llorente, Vitolo; Ángel Correa and Álvaro Morata.
Possible Liverpool XI:
Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk, Gómez, Robertson; Oxlade, Henderson, Wijnaldum; Salah, Firmino and Mané.
