Chiellini knew Juventus would knock Tottenham out of the Champions League

Tottenham Hotspur crashed out of the Champions League following a 2-1 defeat to Juventus on Wednesday night. Heung-Min Son scored to give Spurs the lead initally, but they were undone by two successive goals within three minutes in the second-half by Gonzalo Higuian and Paulo Dybala.
To add insult to injury, Giorgio Chiellini then preceeded to taunt Spurs regarding their reputation for folding at crucial moments. The 33-year-old Italy defender claimed that while for Juventus ''experience is important'', on the night ''they used their skill to win'' against Tottenham who ''always create many chances but in the end they always miss something''. Chiellini says that ''it's in the history of Tottenham to concede chances every game''.
Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri said: ''We are used to these games, that's why we go in with a clear head and feeling calm. We have been in eight or nine finals and we are part of the history of this competition. Sometimes you can be negative and say yes but you've lost some of those finals but we are improving as a team. It is great to walk away from this temple of football with a winning feeling.''
After the match, Chiellini explained the Juventus attitude before taking to the pitch: ''We had to be concentrated and take our chance whenever it happened. We have arrived at the quarter final, it was our target.'' Juventus now move into the last eight of the Champions League, alongside Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid.
