Carles Perez, one step away from a return to Spanish football

Carles Perez is one step away from returning to Spanish football. According to what 'Faro de Vigo' reported, Celta's board reached an agreement in the last few hours with Roma and will add the former Barcelona player as a new signing.
The 24-year-old attacker will sign his contract on loan with an option to buy. The player from Granollers was not a priority for Jose Mourinho and now he will have the chance to play for Eduardo Coudet's team with the aim of recovering his best level.
Pérez played for two seasons with the Roman side and was able to win one official title: the UEFA Conference League. During his time in Italy, the Catalan played 76 official matches, scoring eight goals and providing seven assists.
The Barcelona academy player was on the radar of several Spanish clubs for next season, but he will finally join the Celta squad, which is currently on tour in North America.
Carles Perez will thus become Celta's fifth signing for next season. Previous signings include Williot Swedberg (Hammarby), Luca de la Torre (Heracles Almelo), Oscar Rodriguez (Sevilla) and Unai Nuñez (Athletic Club).
