The runaway Premier League leaders have won their last four games in a row in all competitions after their shocking defeat at Anfield, but Pep Guardiola still believes nothing is decided while conceding the difficulty of the fixture at Turf Moor.
"There are 13 games, 39 points to play, we are 15 ahead, it's not over," said City boss Guardiola. "We have tough games left to play. We cannot deny and everyone knows how tough it is at Burnley."
The hosts have undergone a slight dip in form after a formidable start to the season and have failed to win a game since December 12. They are still seventh on the table and aiming to avoid a fourth consecutive home defeat.
Burnley are likely to be without centre-back James Tarkowski for the visit of the Premier League leaders, while Steven Defour was ruled out for the remainder of the season with a knee injury. Stephen Ward (knee) returned to training on Monday and could feature.
David Silva is a doubt for City while Gabriel Jesus and Benjamin Mendy remain out. John Stones could return to the starting XI after missing out on Wednesday night through illness.
Potential lineups:
Burnley: Pope; Bardsley, Long, Mee, Taylor; Gudmundsson, Cork, Westwood, Arfield; Hendrick; Barnes
Man City: Ederson; Walker, Otamendi, Laporte, Zinchenko; De Bruyne, Fernandinho, Silva; Bernardo, Aguero, Sterling
