Brescia are fed up with Mario Balotelli and have made the decision to unilaterally rescind his contract, according to 'Gazzetta dello Sport' on Monday evening.
After the player's last few absences from training, his continuity had been left on the edge of the wire, and his dismissal has now reportedly been agreed upon.
He neither attended the summons to work nor followed the established protocols, something which has been understood as a challenge at Brescia and which could result in fair dismissal.
Balotelli assured that he had missed training because he had been sick, but the club didn't give the justification any credibility.
"I thought, playing in his town, he could give a lot to the team. He had a lot to give, but he had to do more, much more. These are the facts, so it is normal that I am disappointed," Luis Diego Lopez, Brescia manager, told 'Il Corriere della Sera'.
'SuperMario' signed for the club in August and despite being the top scorer, his performance has been below expectations.
