Vinicius has won the hearts of Brazilian fans who have not hesitated to say that he should be Neymar's substitute for the Copa America. However, in Brazil they think that Tite will go for Lucas Moura.

Just after Neymar got injured, Vinicius' name was written all over social media. The fans got behind the Real Madrid striker by highlighting him as the ideal replacement for the PSG '10' at the Copa America.

Despite not having made his Brazil debut, Vinicius had a great chance to get into the Brazil team until he got injured on that fateful night at the Bernabeu when Ajax knocked them out of the Champions League.

Tite, who had mentioned publicly his intention of calling him up at the last international break, was unable to due to his injury. Months afterwards, the young Real Madrid star did not get into the list for the Copa America because of his lack of activity after his injury

Neymar's injury has brought about a new situation in the 'Canarinha' in which Vinicius, who has been on holiday for the last two weeks, still does not seem to have won the support of the coach. According to 'Marca', Tite is also considering Lucas Moura, Douglas Costa and Taison. His favourite is the Tottenham man.

It is worth remembering that Brazil will have to wait until the medical commission of CONMEBOL certifies that Neymar has suffered a serious injury and then, in compliance with the rules, allow a replacement for the PSG striker to be named. The tournament begins on 14th June

"The medical commission of CONMEBOL will have to approve of this substitution in writing after receiving and approving the detailed medical diagnosis (in Spanish, Portuguese or English) signed by the team doctor." The rules also state that medical examinations which certify the seriousness of the injury must also be included.
