Besiktas informed on Thursday that there are two players with the coronavirus in their squad, so it means there are another two cases plus the eight already confirmed in May.
"On Wednesday 24th June, the Covid-19 test was held at the BJK Nevzat Demir facilities, for all our football players, managerial delegations, and club employees working at the facilities. According to the result of the tests, two players of our team were found to be positive. The process of monitoring and treating our players, whose results were positive, began immediately in accordance with the relevant procedures", doctor Kerem Ulku said.
Their president, Ahmet Nur Cebi, also tested positive at that time. Five days later they were tested again and the results were already negative. Now they will have to be more careful and control their two players, as well as possible new infections.
On Friday Besiktas welcome Konyaspor in matchday 29 of the Turkish League. The Turkish side are looking to make the European spots.
