'BBC' spearhead Zidane's first Madrid line-up

Zinedine Zidane included Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema in his first line-up as Real Madrid boss for Deportivo la Coruna's visit to the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday.

Zidane was appointed on Monday as Rafael Benitez was unceremoniously sacked after just seven months and 25 games in charge.

The Frenchman, who earned legendary status at the club for his stunning winner in the 2002 Champions League final as a player, insisted the 'BBC' attacking trio of Bale, Benzema and Ronaldo would start when fit despite ongoing rumours over Bale's future in the Spanish capital.

Bale was reported to be upset at Benitez's sacking after the Spaniard had given him a more central role in the team this season.

Zidane made just two changes from the 2-2 draw at Valencia last weekend that brought Benitez's reign to an end.

Spanish international Dani Carvajal makes his first appearance since November in place of Brazilian Danilo at right-back.

Meanwhile, Isco is preferred to Colombian star James Rodriguez to replace the suspended Mateo Kovacic in midfield.
