Bayern will listen to offers for Kimmich with Romeu at Barca

Joshua Kimmich is no longer untouchable. Bayern Munich, undergoing dramatic changes in its sporting structure, will listen to offers for the versatile player, if they receive an interesting proposal for the defender.

This comes just as Barcelona, who walked away from trying to sign the German, have signed the deal for Oriol Romeu from Girona. In fact, he has already reportedly passed the medical.

'Kicker' is the outlet that brought to light the change of position at the Allianz Arena. The newspaper did so in an article in which it reviews the situation of the six midfielders of the Bavarian team, who are, apart from Barca's former target, Leon Goretzka, Ryan Gravenberch, Konrad Laimer, Raphael Guerreiro and Marcel Sabitzer. No departures are ruled out, especially as Christoph Freund is expected to sign as the club's new manager in September, as reported by 'Bild' and 'Sky Sport'.

Despite the fact that Kimmich would be a high-level addition to Xavi Hernandez's squad, the same article that announced he was on the table for a move also states that he, personally, does not have a change of scenery in mind. About a month ago, he said precisely that. "I have two years left on my contract," he replied about a hypothetical future with the Catalan giants.

It should be noted that, although Bayern have begun to listen to offers for Kimmich, Barcelona lack the financial power necessary to launch a juicy offer for the German. The player's market value is €93.5 million, a figure that is well out of reach for the Camp Nou, which is having to endure a transfer window measured to the millimeter to avoid breaching regulations.
