BATE coach Aleksandr Yermakovich was satisfied with his team's display against Barcelona despite their 3-0 defeat.
Neymar scored either side of half time and Luis Suarez netted another as Barca preserved their unbeaten record in the Champions League this season.
BATE were beaten 2-0 in their home match against the European champions a fortnight ago and Yermakovich felt his side was more competitive this time around despite the similar result.
"We played a really good match and we can be happy with our performance," he said. "I am more pleased with our performance today than in the last match.
"My players did well and played to their maximum level. It is very difficult to play against a team like Barcelona."
BATE are bottom of Group E but trail second-place Roma by only two points with two games to play.
