Football clubs have had to tighten their belts like many other companies have had to do as a result of the coronavrius. Clubs like Barca have been calculating how much money they are expecting to lose.
Vice-president Jordi Cardoner told 'ESPN' that the Catalans had calculated losses of between 120 and 140 million euros due to the corona break, but it is said to be more in reality.
'La Vanguardia' claims to have a more accurate figure. This media outlet reports that Barcelona could face losses of 154 million euros as a result of the coronavirus.
All of that if you count as the end of the season being 30th June. That will not happen as the campaign will not resume until the middle of June.
The newspaper says there will be 50 million euros in losses through ticket sales, 39 million because of TV rights and 30 as a result of the club's commercial activity.
To help reduce the effects of the losses, Barca's footballers agreed to take a pay cut. That saves the Catalan outfit 24 million euros.
It is worth remembering that Barca would like to sign Lautaro Martinez this summer given that getting Neymar seems to be impossible as a result of the economic situation.
