Bale has struggled for game-time over the past few seasons, battling injuries and the rise of Marco Asensio, Isco and Lucas Vazquez to see his role at the club reduced.
This has led to him being linked away from the club, with Manchester United and Tottenham touted as potential destinations.
However, with Cristiano Ronaldo leaving Real, it is uncertain what the Spanish side's plans for Bale are, and the Welshman will now attempt to determine just that.
'Sky Sports' report that Bale will hold talks with new manager Julen Lopetegui next week, as Real's players return to training, and he will discuss face-to-face with the Spaniard about his role at the club going forward.
The player's representatives will also meet with president Florentino Perez with a similar aim, as we await news on whether the forward will opt for a new challenge or not.
