In comments made to British publication 'The Express', Louis Saha invited Real Madrid's Bale to join Manchester United, as Jose Mourinho seems set to target the Wales international over Cristiano Ronaldo.
Saha said: ''No wonder there's interest in Bale. He would be a key figure. They are looking for solutions and the size of the club and the desire to win trophies you have to attract the best players in the world.''
The Frenchman added: ''Bale and Cristiano are the type of players you're going to look at in the transfer window.''
Bale was tipped with a move away from the Bernabeu, given his frosty relationship with ex-Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane and a lack of playing time.
He had reportedly already contacted his agent to work out an exit strategy for the summer, but his plans could be set to change with the arrival of the new 'Los Blancos' manager Julen Lopetegui.
