Rio Ferdinand thinks that Bale will retire once the season is up, The former Man Utd footballer thinks that Bale's future is unknown because of everything "he's had to sacrifice."
"I think he's going to retire. I don't see where he could go. He's had to sacrifice a lot. Spurs tried with him and it didn't work. Who would be next? Will he take a considerable pay cut? Who's got the money to pay what would still be a big contract," he asked.
It is an idea which has been talked about in recent times. 'AS' reported that Bale was weighing it up although that will be from June 2022 when his current Real Madrid contract expires.
Bale is doing well and is happy in the Welsh national team, but he is struggling to perform consistently for Real Madrid because of injury issues. He did not triumph in his second spell at Tottenham either. That was the club which helped him rise to stardom.
