Antwerp overcame a poor Barca side in their last UCL group game

Barca fail to beat Antwerp in their last UCL match. Antwerp had the lead for most of the game and two errors from Oriol Romeu cost Xavi Hernandez's side the points.

Barca started the game with a goal against after a mistake by Oriol Romeu inside the box which Vermeeren capitalised on. From then on Barca dominated possession until ten minutes before the half-time whistle when Ferran Torres equalised after Lamine Yamal received the ball on the right flank and found the Spanish striker for the equaliser.

Another Oriol Romeu mistake in the second half saw Antwerp take the lead again in the 56th minute. Yusuf stole the ball from the former Girona player and then found Janssen inside the box who beat Inaki Pena to make it 2-1.

In the closing minutes the game went crazy and after Marc Guiu scored the equaliser from a free kick by Gundogan on the right flank, two minutes later the 'cules' conceded again. Ilenikhena made the final score 3-2 after Bataille gave him a pass into space to beat Inaki Pena.

Barca suffered their second defeat in a row after a 4-2 defeat in La Liga against Girona. Xavi Hernandez's side suffered another setback against Antwerp, who picked up their first win in this season's Champions League group stage.
