Thibaut Courtois could have a problem. The Belgian keeper turns 29 this Tuesday and so he held a small party at home to celebrate.
That said, according to 'ABC', the Real Madrid player invited around 10 friends, including kids and adults, to a party. That breaks LaLiga's COVID-19 rules.
The newspaper says that in the video, there are people from outside Courtois' footballing circle close to the Belgian who is seen blowing the candles out.
The keeper's birthday goes against LaLiga's recommendations, especially towards the end of the season and with Real Madrid fighting for the league title.
Furthermore, the Madrid Government advises against meetings of more than six people who do not live together in private homes.
LaLiga will have to decide whether to open disciplinary proceedings against Courtois or whether to just let it slide.
