A breath of fresh air for Trippier means Simeone can relax

Kieran Trippier is enjoying a well-deserved rest. The English right-back is irreplaceable for Simeone, which has made him the only outfield player to have played everything for Atletico Madrid all this year. 

A total of 900 minutes spread over ten official matches, as he is the only player who does not have a natural replacement the team. That's why Simeone was worried about the selection of the English team, but Gareth Southgate has given the Argentinean a reason to relax.

The English coach did not call the player up for the international friendly against Ireland, which has allowed Trippier to take a few days off after this intense start to the season. 

As it was a friendly, Southgate decided to give the exhausted Trippier a break, although the situation will change completely for England's next two matches. 

England face two important matches in the Nations League tournament, against Belgium on Sunday and against Iceland on Wednesday, two commitments in which it now seems that we will see the name Trippier written on the squad list of Gareth Southgate.
