Vinicius will continue unavailable and will be out for the second game in a row for Real Madrid, as they travel to Sevilla. This was confirmed by Carlo Ancelotti, who ruled out that his absence was to protect the player following racist acts in other Spanish stadiums.
"Vinicius isn't travelling because he can't play, simple as that", stated Ancelotti in the press conference, confirming the second absence is also down to knee discomfort.
"If there was the possibility that he could play, he would travel and play. His knee is still bothering him. It doesn't matter if it's at home or away, he can't play and that's that. I hope he can play the last game", he added, showing the priority was to try and get the Brazilian back for the game against Athletic on the last day of the season.
Ancelotti also confirmed the absences of Karim Benzema and Marco Asensio against Sevilla. "We're going to put forward a winning team, without having our usual forwards in attack, but definitely with a competitive line-up because we still have very good players", he stated.
Madrid are second in the table, a point ahead of city rivals Atletico.
Sevilla, 10th, still have a chance of qualifying for next season's UEFA Conference League, sitting just a point behind Osasuna in seventh.
