The 20-year-old is a man in demand this summer following a fantastic U21 European Championship with Spain.
The likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona have both been linked with moves for the player but at this moment in time his future remains unknown.
The player met with senior Betis chiefs today to discuss his future. Upon his exit from the meeting, he was swamped with questions from journalists though he refused to be drawn on any particular destination, saying only that "in two weeks I will have news".
Ceballos also made it clear that he wanted to be left in peace and allowed to enjoy his holiday with his family, thus escaping the furore around his future.
"I need to be calm. I'm the one that has to be calm" he told reporters. The midfielder is eager to enjoy his well-earned break and to take some time out to think about what the future holds for him.
The big unknown, other than where Ceballos will end up, is whether he told Betis officials today of his desires, though it seems we will have to wait to find that out.
