Roma do not want to get rid of their promising midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo. The player has a contract until 2024, but his successive delays in renewing his contract have kept the Roma board on tenterhooks.
However, his agent Claudio Vigorelli gave some optimism in an interview with 'Corriere dello Sport': "We have an excellent relationship with Roma and with Tiago Pinto and we will talk about the renewal when the board consider it appropriate. Right now the most important thing is to focus on the work and the performance on the pitch."
The high financial demands of the young midfielder was one of the main problems. Nevertheless, his agent wanted to justify the amount as far as possible.
"Roma valued Nicolo significantly last summer (50-60 million euros). We will negotiate a figure based on the value that the board communicated to the market. No more and no less," he concluded.
