Burnley started matchday 6 15th in the Premier League table and only a point away from the relegation zone. There was a big need to secure points and the number '9' star that is Chris Wood took matters into his own hands.
Before the first quarter of an hour was over, the result had already been decided. Wood scored his first goal in the tenth minute and the second, four minutes later. They both came about from corner kicks, showing that set plays are one of the teams strong points.
With the two goal lead, Burnley slowed down the tempo, but continued looking for more goals. Of course, Norwich City also did not stop trying at any time and both teams left a fairly even game, especially in the second half.
As the end neared, Norwich and ended up giving up as there was no way they could catch up. The visiting team even had the ball more than Burnley, but they lacked what was left over from their rival: face-to-goal effectiveness.
Burnley went home with the three points. The 'clarets' will sleep this seventh Saturday in the competition, tied to points with Mauricio Pochetino's Tottenham, which marks the access to the European zone. Norwich City, meanwhile, fall to 15th place in the table.
