Sporting CP player Joao Palhinha could end up in England next season. Recently, several media reported Tottenham's interest in his signing, and now it is Wolves who are in the race for the Portuguese if Ruben Neves leaves the team.
Neves has been linked with a move to Barcelona, Arsenal and United in recent months. Any of them could convince Wolves with the right offer. In case this happens, the English club are already looking for a replacement and the favourite for the board is his compatriot Palhinha, according to 'Record'.
He will have to compete against Spurs, who have been after the player for some months. However, Sporting CP will not make his exit easy and it is estimated that they will ask around 40 million euros for the midfielder. Moreover, the price tag could increase if both clubs bet heavily on the player.
This season he has been a key player for Ruben Amorim, who has used the Portuguese 37 times. For his part, Palhinha has repaid the trust placed in him with three league goals.
