In the middle of July, it was leaked that West Ham were trying to get hold of Jesse Lingard after playing well on loan in the 2021-22 season. Man Utd's response was that he would only leave for 30 million pounds. From then on in, there were silence until just now.
That has ended because the 'Daily Star' reports that the Hammers have gone after him. Afterwards, he was linked with a move away from Man Utd and West Ham could try and get him again on the cheap for the 2021-22 season.
This would make sense because clubs stopped showing interest as soon as they found out the player's high price tag. As the start of the Premier League is so close, it makes sense for United to get him to leave.
Lingard is set to play little under Solskjaer especially given the new signings such as Jason Sancho. West Ham and Leicester await Lingard.
