West Ham edge Bournemouth in first Premier League game at Olympic Stadium

The match is likely to be remembered for solely being the first Premier League game at the Olympic Stadium - otherwise known as the London Stadium - rather than for being a thrilling encounter.
The first half saw West Ham dominate possession without creating a great deal of chances. However, replays showed that the Hammers should have had a penalty.
Bournemouth left-back Charlie Daniels fouled Gokhan Tore just inside the penalty area, but the referee signalled for a free-kick. In fairness to West Ham, Hammers players didn't have too many complaints, although the subsequent free-kick was hit straight into the wall by Tore.
The Hammers' best chance of the half fell to eventual match-winner Antonio, the winger had the chance to finish off a well-worked counter-attack, but miscued his left-footed shot and the teams went in level.
The second half saw an improved display from Bournemouth. Both Adam Smith and Joshua King brought saves from West Ham goalkeeper Adrian.
West Ham continued to threaten with Antonio and Tore, the Hammers' two best players on the day, and then Bournemouth's afternoon got a whole lot harder due to the sending-off of midfielder Harry Arter.
Arter brought down Kouyate to receive a second yellow card, and this invited more pressure from West Ham.
Five minutes from normal time and Tore and Antonio combined once again, this time with great sucess. Tore stood up a perfectly weighted cross for Antonio, who rose above the Bournemouth defence to head past Artur Boruc.
The Hammers held on for a (just about) deserved 1-0 win at their new home. Despite this, Slaven Bilic will know that he is in desperate need of attacking reinforcements, especially with injuries to Andy Carroll and Andre Ayew.
For Bournemouth, it looks like this season may be a struggle for Eddie Howe's men, who haven't been able to replicate the free-flowing attacking football of last season.
