Wayne Rooney sees pre-season travel to Tanzania as ideal way to get to know his team-mates

England international Wayne Rooney is looking forward to starting pre-season, and he thinks that Everton's trip to Tanzania is the best way to get to know his new team-mates.
He is hoping to use the trip to get to know everybody better before the upcoming Premier League season. "I am looking forward to it- it should be a good trip. It'll be nice and hopefully I'll get on the pitch and get some game-time", he told evertontv.
The Toffees will head to Tanzania to take on SportPesa Super Cup winners, Gor Mahia, in a friendly on Thursday.
Former Manchester United striker Rooney has signed a two-year contract at Everton, where he will earn £150,00 in a week. The 31-year-old will wear the No 10 shirt, which was previously worn by Romelu Lukaku, who looks set to join Manchester United.
