Watford announced the sacking of their coach Vladimir Ivic. The Serbian joined the second tier side back in August.
The club announced the manager had been sacked hours after the defeat to Huddersfield in the matchday 20 clash.
"Watford confirms the departure of Head Coach Vladimir Ivic with immediate effect. Ivic's coaching staff will also be leaving Vicarage Road;" Watford's statement read. They also thanked Ivic and his team's effort this season.
The Hornets had got Ivic on a one year deal with the option to extend it for another season, but he has been dismissed just before Christmas.
Watford, who got relegated from the Premier League last season, are 5th in the Championship and in the play-off places. They drew to Brentford and lost to Huddersfield in their last two matches.
