"Vinicius? It's not about individual awards"

Brazil face a tough test when they travel to Buenos Aires to face Argentina in their final World Cup qualifier of this international break, having claimed a last-gasp win over Colombia. 

Selecao coach Dorival Junior gave a press conference ahead of the match against the ‘Albiceleste’ in which he spoke about Vinicius and his recent form for the national team. 

"The important thing is that he feels part of our group and very present. I am against individual awards in football. It does not reflect what the reality is. I hope he continues to strive to be the best he can be, but that his biggest contribution here is collectively," he told reporters. 

In addition, the Brazilian wanted to lower the tension ahead of the match after Raphinha's controversial statements hours before the game, saying that Scaloni's team would be beaten up.

"It's a great classic of world football. There will be fighting on the pitch, but there will be respect between the two teams. We are going to play football against the team that won the World Cup and the Copa America. The team that has won the most in recent years. We will try to play our best football.
