Unai Emery's Aston Villa are having a dream season after the results achieved. Despite Liverpool's great form, the Villans are five points away from Europa League qualification.
The main objective of the English club is to strengthen the squad for next season. With the arrival of Mateu Alemany, current Barcelona sporting director, almost confirmed, the Birmingham club are aiming for a great transfer window.
According to 'Marca', the Balearic executive has two players in mind: Ferran Torres, from Barca, and Dusan Vlahovic, from Juventus. With Emery's approval, Alemany will spend more than 100 million euros to improve Villa's squad.
The Villans have two problems. The first is to convince the former Manchester City and Valencia man that his future at Barca has come to an end. To do so, Alemany will have to negotiate to get the Spanish winger's approval.
The other problem is mainly financial. Juventus, in 2022, invested 81 million for the former Fiorentina player. Moreover, Barcelona, forced to make money, will not let Ferran go easily, even though the former Mestalla player did not manage to make a place for himself in the starting line-up.
