Wayne Rooney, Derby's manager, has vowed to stay with troubled Derby County after the Championship club were hit with a 12-point penalty for going into administration.
Rooney said Saturday he had only found out about the financially-stricken club's plan to enter administration by watching television news bulletins.
The team is now at the bottom of the Championship, after they had a 12-point deduction. Rooney’s side had 10 points from eight games but are now six points behind second-bottom Nottingham Fores.
