Villarreal won the first major trophy in the club's history after defeating Manchester United in the Europa League final on Wednesday night - check out their celebrations here!
The underdogs went in front on the half hour mark when top scorer Gerard Moreno converted from close range. Edinson Cavani eventually equalised for the 'Red Devils' ten minutes into the second half, as he was jogging on the spot to react quickest and score into an empty net. With nothing to separate the sides after FT and ET, they faced off in a dramatic penalty shootout which saw all 10 outfield players convert their spot kicks. The responsibility then fell to the goalkeepers, with Rulli converting for Villarreal before stopping De Gea's pen, giving his side a dramatic victory!
With the win, Villarreal consequently qualify for next season's Champions League, where they could well face a rematch with Ole's side after they finished the season second in the Premier League.
