Merih Demiral had to do things the hard way to become the first Turkish player to represent Juventus. Since joining in 2019, he has become one of the best prospects in Serie A.

Demiral's performances for the likes of Alcanenense, Sporting Lisbon and Alanyaspor attracted the eye of Juventus, and he eventually signed from fellow Serie A club Sassuolo. In his first season he only made 13 appearances, however in this current campaign he has nearly doubled that amount, playing 24 times and even providing an assist in that time!

The Turk forms part of a Juventus side that have struggled under new manager Andrea Pirlo. The 'Vecchia Signora' ceded their title to Inter last weekend, and they currently look set to battle it out for top four with Atalanta, Napoli and Milan.
