The game at the Bernabeu was yet another Champions League classic. Chelsea had it all to do, and do it they did. Mason Mount opened the scoring early in the 15th minute. His goal was followed by a Rudiger header on 51 minutes which drew the aggregate score level. 24 minutes later Werner got Chelsea the goal that would see them through to the semi-finals. However, Real's Rodrygo came off the bench to level the aggregate score for the second time in the match after converting an outrageous Modric assist. The game went to extra time and Benzema nodded Real's second goal of the game past Mendy and that was that.
