VIDEO: Banfield and Sarmiento draw blank on final day

Banfield faced Sarmiento in an Argentinian league game last Sunday. 

The home side decided to put out several second string players for their final league game of the season as they rested footballers for the Argentinian Cup semi-final against Talleres three days later. Sarmiento decided to wear the Argentina shirt ahead of the World Cup. There were few chances for both teams and just the odd penalty and red card appeal to mention in what was not a game which will be remembered for decades. Banfield finished 24th on 30 points while Sarmiento ended on 21st with 32 points. In the aggregate table, Banfield were 18th with 49 points while Sarmiento were 13th with 53 points.
