In Anfield they want Van Dijk to stay forever. They can no longer imagine a life without the defender.
The centre-back has a contract with Liverpool until 2023, but the reds want to tie him up for the long term. According to The Sun, they are prepared to pay him 13 million euros per course.
The idea is that he signs for five seasons. And if you count, with those figures, Van Dijk would become the highest-paid player in the history of Liverpool.
He would be ahead of Salah. Right now, the Egyptian would be earning around 12 million euros per season.
It remains to be seen whether Van Dijk will agree to the current terms. What is clear is that he still has quite a few years ahead of him, as he is only 28.
