USA-Mexico crunch clash moved to October 9

The two sides had been due to meet at Pasadena's 93,000-capacity Rose Bowl on October 9 but the game will now take place a day later.

The winner of the match will secure a place at the 2017 Confederations Cup in Russia, the de facto test event for the 2018 World Cup.

Mexico and the United States entered the play-off after winning the two most recent editions of the CONCACAF region's Gold Cup championship.

Mexico qualified for the match after winning the tournament last month. The United States were Gold Cup champions in 2013.
