Manchester United has been going through a dry spot for years and now, at last, a little light is beginning to appear at the end of the tunnel, although there is still a lot to do at Old Trafford.
This is the opinion of at least one Manchester United legend, Peter Schmeichel, who still sees Ole-Gunnar Solskjaer's team without a clear form of play.
"They are irregular and it is still a team in transition and in progress, because they still need to recruit new players. They need to find their identity and the right people," he explained on 'beIN Sports'.
"I think that we have not yet recovered from the 27 years of Alex Ferguson's reign and that we are still trying to find a new identity," continued the former Red Devils goalkeeper.
Finally, Schmeichel gave the team's heavyweights a wake-up call. "I think some of the big players need to raise their game: there are some who attract unwanted media attention that has nothing to do with football and others are under pressure from external factors, like Maguire and Greenwood," he said.
