Uncertainty over Sergio Ramos' future

The contract renewal or departure of Sergio Ramos will be a constant topic of conversation from here to the month of June, but days are going by and the signs the club and the player are giving are not matching up. 

This very Tuesday, Ramos' future was the target of debate on 'El Golazo de Gol' where two different points of view where given in regards to his future. 

On the other hand, Siro Lopez confirmed that Sergio Ramos has said "no" to the latest offer and had told the club that he will go to a top European club in France or England. 

However, this did not match what 'COPE' journalist Miguelito had said. He reported that the footballer's inner circle have not ruled out him staying and that they could even be closer to reaching an agreement in the last few weeks. 

Florentino Perez testing positive for COVID-19 and Ramos' operation have helped bring the pair together. It has even led to a chance of them reaching an agreement, something which looked a long shot. 

With just months until the end of their contracts and the business end of the season apporaching, Sergio Ramos and Leo Messi are set to dominate the headlines in the first part of 2021.
