Paris-Saint-Germain have just advanced to the final 16 of the Champions League, but other times, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester United have disqualified them from the continental competition. Hard years for a club who have had the Champions League in their sights for some years now.
Unai Emery and Edinson Cavani experienced some of this misfortune together and now, one after the other, they have exchanged words of praise for each other. The coach referred to the "human and professional quality" of the Uruguyam in a tweet, coming from an interview undertaken with 'Libero'.
"Responsibility, sacrifice, eagerness to excel, competitive discussions, respect and connection. A pleasure to work with people like you @ECavaniOfficial who can make us imrove individually and collectively. Goal hug," the former PSG and Arsenal coach tweeted.
In the message, the coach sent the message in a link in an interview with 'Líbero', where Cavani was sincere. "Emery infected me with his rigour and perfectionism". Beautiful words in both directions, that not only dignify football, but also show that the coach-player relationship doesn't always have to be merely formal.
