Trippier's move to Atletico Madrid in the recently concluded transfer window is making his ex-side, Tottenham, receive lots of criticism.
The Englishman is playing very well for 'Los Colchoneros' because he has played very well on the right flank and he is shining for his national team.
In England they still don't understand how they let a player like him go for that amount of money. For this reason, the ex-footballer Noel Whelan spoke on 'Football Insider': "I'm surprised that they sold him for that amount. That's nothing nowadays. It was strange to sell him to a Champions League rival. It seems like a very good move for Trippier, but very bad for Tottenham.
Finally, he hinted that there was something else behind the move: "It's a terrible deal for Daniel Levy. It could leave him badly affected. There has probably been a dispute between Mauricio Pochettino and Trippier which, generally, is the cause of something like this.
